2013 MLK Memorial March and Rally
(
Monday January 21, 2013, march will begin at 9:30 am)

New March Route

The March will START at the Charles R. Drew Health Center on West Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way. Continue into Town on MLK Jr. Way, with others joining the March at the Dayton Cultural Center (Peace Bridge) and again at Sinclair Community College and Third & Main. The March will then turn right on the S. Main Street to the Fifth Street at the Dayton Convention Center where the March will enter into the Center for the Rally. (Munsup's Note: The marchers will walk 1.6 miles and take approximately 45 minutes  from the Health Center to the Convention Center.)


2013 Ticket Information

MLK Interfaith Prayer Breakfast will be held on Friday January 18, 2013 at the Mandalay Banquet Center, 2700 East River Road, Dayton, Ohio 45439 beginning at 7:30 am. The speaker will be Dr. Rodney Wallace Kennedy, First Baptist Church of Dayton. Deadline date for Interfaith Breakfast tickets is Friday January 11, 2013. The donation for the Interfaith Breakfast is $25.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Banquet will be on Saturday January 19, 2013 held at The Dayton Convention Center, 22 East Fifth Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The speaker will be Ambassador Howard F. Jeter. Ambassador Jeter was the U. S. Ambassador to Nigeria from 2000-2003. He also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, State Department Director for West African Affairs, President Clinton's Special Envoy for Liberia, and Ambassador to Botswana. Ambassador Jeter was Deputy Chief of Mission and later Charge d'Affaires, a.i..Deadline date for Martin Luther King, Jr., Celebration tickets is Friday January 11, 2013. The donation for the Banquet is $50.

CELEBRATION ADS: The cost for ads in the 2013 MLK-Dayton Program Book is as follows: Outside Back Cover $300, Inside Back Cover $250, $200 Full Page, $100 Half Page and $50 Quarter Page. Payment, ad copy and completed form (download and print it) must be received no later than Wednesday January 9, 2013. All photos must be Camera Ready.
